MapLink combines GIS map layers, parcel data, and
the information from a municipality’s Zoning Chapter,
to quickly display important Zoning-related information
for a particular parcel such as the district name and
description, dimensional standards, accepted uses, and
parking regulations.
MapLink was developed several years ago with the Director
of Building, Zoning and Planning at the City of Easton in PA.
Their goal was to provide a user-friendly, customer-facing,
resource to quickly provide answers to basic Zoning-related
questions like “Where can I put my business?” and
“What can I do with my property?”. This would benefit not
just their department but also residents, realtors, land
developers, and the business community. Michael Peter,
Business Development Manager at General Code, will
demonstrate MapLink at the NJPO Lunch ‘n Learn on
Thursday, May 2nd.
