Event Details
The mandatory FIVE-HOUR training program for new board members will satisfy
the requirements for planning board and zoning board of adjustment members
under the rules of the Department of Community Affairs and the law as enacted
in July 2005.
NJPO is a certified trainer and the instructors, along with their credentials are
registered by NJPO with the Department of Community Affairs.
At the conclusion of the program, NJPO will notify the Department of Community
Affairs of the names of attendees who have completed the required FIVE hours
and passed the mandatory test or learning assessment given at the program.
Certificates recognizing board members will be generated by the Department of
Community Affairs and mailed to the municipal clerk for distribution to board
members.
NJPO will post the names of members successfully completing its program on its
website, njpo.org. Anyone who does not fulfill their financial obligation will not
have their test sent to the Department of Community Affairs (DCA) and will not
be considered a Certified Official.
If you are a board secretary registering a board member, you MUST USE THE
BOARD Member's EMAIL and NOT yours. Each registrant MUST have their
EMAIL address.
Submission of this form is the FIRST step in registration. You (or your secretary)
will receive an INVOICE for your registration. Once paid, your registration will
be completed.
Your registration is NOT considered complete until
you receive confirmation from NJPO.
